What obscures us from experiencing the JOY of LIFE?
It is possible to experience so much joy if we are free from the tensions that cloud this natural state of being. Our witnessing and care transforms stuckness into sweet flow and into the direction of being able to celebrate the blossoming of life, which is so prominent in our flourishing spring environment right now. Come and be guided on a sweet soul nourishing journey.
What is Soul Movement?
* Created in 2008, under the original name of Bare Feet Ecstatic Dance by Maria, Soul Movement is an exhilarating and nurturing mind, body and spirit dance and movement journey, taking us into the core of our hearts and innate creativity. It helps to release stuck patterns in our mind, body and spirit and we are left pulsating with life and more empowered to live from a place of truth and soul integrity, where spontaneity resides. It is inspired by beautiful music and held in a sweet and gentle dimly lit space with the aim of dropping deeply into our bodies to move freely without judgment or concern ‘for the “grace” or beauty of the dance. It is an inner/outer journey of moving meditation which develops a direct body-mind-spirit connection, letting your body and inner guide be your teachers and healers.

Soul Movement has had yet another rebirth and return back into the community here in Jersey.
After nearly 3 years of tending to my beautiful new daughter, I realised it was time to come back and begin our dances again. We began our evening with 45 minutes of strange guffawing, cackling and gibberish. Johann Liffey and I held the space for our lovely crew and everyone seemed to really get into the slight insanity that is laughter yoga!
We wound down with a sweet heart meditation and relaxation and a few more people joined us for our dance. Did I say dance? Actually we completely raved it up and sweated our tears, prayers and intentions on this new moon time. Amazing to see all the familiar faces back again.
I felt nervous coming back to this space holding role again after such a long time out, but actually it was gorgeous to be back in such good company again. I felt blessed to be able to hold this space for others which actually really grounds me and gives me a sweet outlet for service and creativity that feels a bit like home for me in some ways. Dance is a magical portal into emerging our wonderful potential as well as bringing with it deep healing. For me, there is no greater tool that connects us to the fullness of life and who we are. This tool takes us into the edge and beyond of our comfort zone. That place where restraints dissolve and transformations take place.
Looking forward so much to our next gathering in month: Sistermoon – A Dance and Gathering Just for Women which will be a deep journey and enquiry into the loss of the feminine in our world and the emerging rebirth that is rising up through the earth and through our hearts and bones. Come and dance with us dear women.
Suki is not yet 2 and a half and already makes perfect sentences in both English and Spanish.
She delights often in saying words in Spanish to me and then bursting into a dry laughter at my confused face as she proclaims ‘is that Spanish??’ Her sense of humour is incredibly cheeky and trickster like!
She loves playdough, our current favourite is making food and pretending to eat it and her favourite music is a cute cartoon monkey mother and child called ‘Tee and Mo’ that ding songs about tidying up and loving each other. Just too sweet.
She loves to dance and everyday she tells me about all the people she feels shy of. Constantly disclosing her sweet vulnerabilities in such an open hearted way that only a trusting, unshame-bombed child would do. We talk a lot about what makes her happy and sad and she is already pretty emotionally literate.
Today we had such fun having some rough play this morning. It’s such a bonding thing to do with her and leaves her shining with endorphins for the rest of the day. After that we walked slowly up to the nearby dolmen from our house for some games of hide and seek. She keeps me forever young.
Join our beautiful sacred space to dance, share and love together at full moon time. Each gathering we focus on a different theme to help us heal and rise the feminine energy. This month we dance with our ancestors and the gifts they bring us.
Our upcoming Sun in Leo and Full Moon in Aquarius Lunar Eclipse moon is ripe with potential for us to create transformation in our lives and the world around us. They give us the opportunity to create sacred space and consciously integrate shadow aspects and inner and outer challenges. We will use the energy to acknowledge the deep well of support we have behind us and the journey our ancestors took to bring us where we are today. We’ll give this attention and care to whatever is arising or feeling unintegrated in our lives and prepare ourselves for the next chapter.
What could happen if us women gave ourselves the time and energy to dive in and explore our power and possibilities in a sacred supportive space?
Our gatherings have been a sweet respite for us women in our busy and patriarchal modern world. Dance is a magical portal to ride us into our journey into healing and rising our feminine as it fully supports our feminine nature and unfolding healing processes. In the realm of conscious dance with the intention of love and integration, transformation happens.
This isn’t a place where we’ll be impressing each other with our dance moves. We will drop in deeply to our bodies and our space will support authentic healing movement and our own unfolding creative expression.
We also use some yummy essential oils to support and nurture us, and nibble on delicious raw chocolate!

The heat was ON tonight and I could see the crew of all girls were open and ready for their rich chocolatey experience.
With some wonderful fairy sidekicks, Nikki G, Ashley J and Terry C …. I was feeling blessed and excited about our evening.
We kicked off with a chat and then a demo into how to make a simple non tempered chocolate. I dived into the doTERRA oils and picked out some lime and then added some himalayan salt and chilli powder. The result was SO right and the air got thick with anticipation! Then the girls were OFF … each creating magnificent concoctions with their chocolates and combinations I’d never tried such as Grapefruit and Cardamon …. ooohhhh!!!!
And then their confidence grew and our next round, making truffles was such fun!
My biggest surprise and euphoria of the night was just how purely magnificent and completely unrivalled are the doTERRA oils for use as flavourings in chocolate. BLOWN away by the clarity and depth of flavour they lend in food. Having Nikki G around as our doTERRA expert made the night even more exciting and I’m really looking forward to more of our collaborations.
Seeing fulfilled smiles on their faces as they clutched their bags and boxes full of bunnies and eggs told me my work was done.
Its been a fun and intense journey (as it can only be with Kali-Ma the dark goddess) resurrecting my chocolate baby for the world to come and delight at again.
This time around I’ve gone for a bit of a revamp! Vamp being the word as the boxes are a sexy burgundy and lots of gold trimmings on the boxes and bags too. The boxes will contain some VERY decadent raw chocolate vegan truffles. Its about time our little island had some real bespoke raw chocolates to be eaten and savoured. Finally. I’m a little exhausted though. I now have a beautiful girl and a lot less time than before so its all been a bit of a whirlwind. Interspersed with lots of Yoga Nidras and a few good friends coming to hang out with my girl, I’ve actually managed to get something done other than playing playdough and dancing around the living room with Suki chanting GOBINDAY MUKANDAY.
Not only am I a bit excited about selling my chocolates this weekend at Simply Spring, I’m also releasing an Organic Lip Butter which is just too mmmm for words. Seriously. Come and try my chocs and lips butter, I’ll have samples out for you all.
This little being had me deep in love and overwhelm from the word go.
With her large brown all seeing eyes, I was sure she could read all my thoughts and emotions. I felt very in love and very blessed to become the unplanned and unexpected mother I’d become. Transitioning into the mumma realm wasn’t without its harsh initiations though. I immediately developed an acute sense of both our vulnerabilities, to the point that it could almost debilitate me with fears of freakish accidents and a new excrutiating empathy for all mothers and their vulnerable young. We had a few friends stay and help out a little in the early weeks and months as I longed for more support and to feel like there was a greater nucleus that we could turn to but our modern day disease of disconnection to each other reigned in on us and many times I felt bereft and exhausted in body and mind. We were blessed with material needs and gifts of more than we needed, but I learnt early that a mummas job should never belong to just the mumma. And my heart went out to all the single mothers out there doing their best in the most unnatural situation of being on their own in a world of so many.
